Canada has become a destination more accessible: the prices of flights has become relatively affordable and fast, in just seven hours away you're in Montreal! Of course, Canada is huge and if you aim Vancouver on the Pacific coast path will be a little longer. The major cities are connected from Europe, so Montreal, Toronto, Quebec, Vancouver, etc.
If you have enough time, you might consider crossing the Canadian wilderness in the process: the Trans-Canada between Montreal and Vancouver (in a few days anyway).
There railways but also the road: the car is king in Canada, hiring a car is very common in the country. This is an affordable transportation solution, knowing that in addition to the rental price, gasoline is also much less expensive than in France.
Another common mode of transportation: buses, comfortable and punctual, by cons are rather slow and not always given.
Canada's security is generally not a problem, even in large cities, violent crime is rare and usually not touching the visitor. The crime rate in Canada is far lower than that of the United States and France.
Every day, the budget required is quite variable depending on the mode of travel, but overall, Canada is not a particularly cheap destination.
In Canada there is no difficulty in feeding on a budget (sandwiches, cheap restaurants, fast food), while traditional restaurants are about as much as in France.
